Spring is Coming!
I love Spring weather. It makes me feel calmer and more relaxed, which is something hard to do. haha

I went to the Poconos last weekend to a Kiddie Resort with Edwin's family. It was fun. They have an indoor water park! There were too many kids, so I didn't go. I really didn't do much actually. I could have gone tubing, but the weather was too warm. I just walked around the Outlets nearby and didn't buy anything. But overall, I had a good time. We ordered King Kong in the hotel room. I'm adding Adrien Brody to my list of guys. =) I have a weird taste for guys.

This weekend, I'm going home to see the my friends and family! I'm excited.

Johari Window
A Johari window is a metaphorical tool intended to help people better understand their interpersonal communication and relationships. It was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up.

Interesting to see what you think...

The Beginning and End of my Career in Snowboarding
So I'm never going to be an Olympic medalist for snowboarding. I had my first attempt at that sport yesterday and failed miserably. I fell on my bum a bunch of times and ran into a Dad and a small child. Haha. yeah...and I didn't even make it to the actual slopes. I was just in the training area with the small hills. But I wouldn't mind practicing skiing more. Next winter, I suppose. It's getting warmer now. I can't wait for the 70 degree weather that's coming this weekend!

Upcoming Events:
- Poconos this weekend! I don't know what I will be doing there...but I'm going! Wahoo!
- St. Patty's Weekend in MD and with the SHS gang!

Gooo Pacers!
I went to my first NBA basketball game last night! The Nets vs. the Pacers!

- Drove an hour up the turnpike and paid $3.45
- Ate $20 worth of food...a pretzel, a bag of swedish fish, a bottle of water, and a hot dog.
- Banged my cheer stix during the entire 1st and 2nd quarter
- Gave high fives to half of the Pacer team as they left for half time
- Fell asleep in the middle of the 3rd quarter
- Woke up in the middle of the 4th quarter

The Pacers Won!

I explored the malls in the area again on Saturday. This time I went to a Arundel Mills-like mall. I probably won't be going back again. haha. It was an unsuccessful trip. But I did, however, manage to drive an hour to the closest REI and LL Bean and successfully bought a bunch of snow wear! I got a winter coat from LL Bean for 50 bucks...not even 50 bucks....but 48 bucks! YES!

I saw Date Movie...the paraody of romantic comedies. It was did not meet my expectations. sigh. I just keep remember what my romantic comedy teacher told me..."Don't waste your time. i's okay to walk out of a bad movie."

Gilmore Girls!
So I was snowed in this weekend and spent the weekend watching the rest of my Gilmore Girls DVDs. I'm almost done with season 4. My sister just told me that season 5 is on sale at Circuit City....CIRCUIT CITY HERE I COME! I'm stalking the Gilmore Girl DVD Sales. It's what I do with the spare time that I have from not having to study or go to school. fun. So because of my non stop viewing of Gilmore Girls I am now a fan of coffee and junk food. AHh I want to be Rory Gilmore and I want my mom to be Lorelai Gilmore!

I think I will stalk Doogie Howser or Lost next....haha

AHH I Despise Comcast!!!
So Comcast hasn't been quite as comcastic as they claim to be. My internet connection has been down for almost a week...and I finally got it back today. I feel like I haven't been online for recreational purposes in forever! Did you know that the technicians have to call you when they are about to go to your place...and if you don't pick up the phone, they assume that you are not there and end up not coming at all?! That is some BS!

This week was Restaurant week in NYC....and students get to ride on the NJ Transit for FREE! It's a good thing I still have my student ID. So a few of my co-workers and I took advantage of that and went to China Grill which also happens to be owned by the same people who own Asia de Cuba! I think I'm in love with food...fine dining is my new hobby! In 2 weeks, Philly will have their restaurant week, and Boston will have their restaurant week from March 5-10. I think I'm going to the Philly one...but Boston is just so far away.

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do on my first holiday on President's Day!

2 Weeks Done...42 years, 2 Weeks Left...
So luckily, life in NJ has yet to be boring.
I work for the best company in the world. (maybe I'm embellishing a bit, but its the best!) And I signed up for my benefits and my 401K! I'm going to make a million dollars by the time I retire. The people at work are great too...lots of young, friendly people. But the commute sucks. I drive on one lane roads 95% of the time...at least it doesn't take me an hour+ to get to work though.

Sunday was Chinese New Years! Gong Hay Fat Choy! I went home to have dinner with my family and to collect my red money pocket. I saw In the Mood for Love and 2046. Boy, were they long and unsettling. But if you like to watch a Chinese indy movies, In the Mood for Love is your movie.

I had my first Penn State visit a couple weeks ago. Penn State is definitely a nicer campus than MD. Although I don't think I could take living in a college town in the middle of nowhere.

Current Obsessions:
- Gilmore Girls (I bought 4 seasons of Gilmore Girls at Target for $24.99 each!)
- Sour Patch Kids
- Cleaning my apartment

The 1st day of Adulthood
So today was my first day on the job, the first day of being an adult. yikes. It's actually kinda depressing. This is supposed to be what I will be doing for the next 30 or so years...until I retire. I mean I probably won't be at this position or company forever, but the whole work concept will be the same. At least I work for a great company.

I moved to NJ on Friday....the day before that random mini snow storm. Seriously, who thought it was going to snow that day? It was 50 degrees outside that morning! My apartment looks super good! A lot better than last year when I had no furniture. haha. You gotta love Ikea. I especially love my new sofa and bed. Thank goodness for credit and thank goodness for a paycheck to pay off my bills.

Tomorrow is another day...

I'm watching the Golden Globes now...catching up to celebrity news is my new obsession/love.

Moving on FRIDAY! AHH
So this week, I am preparing for my big move.

- Apartment is ready to lease
- Rented a UHaul
- Bought a new bed set
- Called for electricity
- Called for my Comcast installation

Now I just need to buy some furniture and pack. Gosh, I also need to try to fix my sleeping patterns. I won't be going to bed at 2am and waking up at 11am anymore sadness. My life is changing so drastically and I'm going to miss being so close to my family and friends! sigh.
